Wisconsin Lottery players collect $500,000 to close out 2023

Wisconsin lottery players put on a financial fireworks display to end 2023. On the last day of the year, Badger State players collected half a million dollars playing three different drawing games.

While many people like to start the new year with personal resolutions, collecting a six-figure payout isn’t a bad way to kick off 2024. Read on to see the games that had the highest payouts.

One lucky player picked up $350,000 when he guessed the six winning numbers for the final SuperCash! drawing of the year. The winning numbers were 3-7-20-26-31-36, and the ticket was purchased at True North Energy in Neenah.

It was the twelfth time in 2023 that someone won the top prize playing SuperCash!

To win the jackpot, players must correctly pick six winning numbers from between one and 39. Players can also win smaller cash prizes, ranging from $500 to $1, by correctly picking some of the winning numbers. Those prizes can be doubled if, in a second drawing, a “doubler” is drawn. All prizes are eligible to be doubled except for the top prize.

Tickets only cost $1, and players get two entries per ticket. SuperCash! is only available for play in Wisconsin, and drawings are held seven times a week.

All or Nothing

A grand prize-winning ticket for All or Nothing worth $100,000 was sold at a Northland Mobil in Appleton.

All or Nothing plays slightly differently than most drawing games. Players must pick eleven numbers between one and twenty-two. Then, they must either match all of their chosen numbers or none of their chosen numbers to win the top prize.

In this case, the player successfully failed to match any of his numbers to the winning numbers from the midday draw. The winning/losing numbers were 1-3-4-7-14-16-17-18-20-21-22.

Appleton is proving to be a lucky place to buy All or Nothing tickets. This is the second top-prize winning ticket sold in the Paper Valley in the last four months. Another $100,000 winner was sold on August 12 at a Wisconsin Lottery retailer located just two miles from the Northland Mobil.

Drawings are held twice daily, and tickets cost $2 per play.

While they didn’t take home the top prize, one lucky player did cash in a Powerball ticket for $50,000 by correctly picking four of the five winning numbers. The winning numbers for the drawing were 12-21-42-44-49, and the Powerball number was 1.

The ticket was sold at a Kwik Trip located in Baraboo. No one in Wisconsin won a Powerball jackpot in 2023, but several players did earn substantial prizes. There were three $1 million winners and 15 players who won at least $100,000.

In total, Powerball players in Wisconsin collected over $6.8 million in 2023.

Big wins in Wisconsin

One more big winner is the state of Wisconsin. Since legalized gaming was launched in the state in 1988, the Wisconsin lottery has generated more than $18 billion in total revenue, paid out $10.2 billion in prizes, and provided more than $5.4 billion in property tax relief for eligible Wisconsin homeowners.
